International Sites
These are sites that are mostly about everything. Probably. Look, I'm an American. You actually expect me to speak something other than English? OK, so I do understand a smattering of several languages. But I'm lumping these sites here as well as with their germane categories anyway.

Tu Sitio en Salud Mental - It's like the Argentinean version of Internet Mental Health! Dr. Mariani has put together an extensive site covering meds, neurotransmitters, online tests, an online library, support groups, other sites of interest and stuff that I couldn't figure out because it's all in Spanish. But for everyone looking for information en español, this looks like a great place to start.
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Bipolare Störungen - Germany's depression & bipolar support alliance. Information on meds and therapies, doctor locator, a support forum and chat. Alles in Deutsche.
Trouble bipolaire / Maniaco-dépression - fora-based site. Mostly support, but offering some information on books, meds and treatments. C'est tout en français. ????????? - ???! - my Russian is not being so good, but I am thinking that is looking like "Depression - NO!" I have no idea about the quality or stance of this site, all I can tell is that they discuss depression, bipolar, other psychiatric issues and meds. Plus links to online tests, the DSM and other psychology sites in Russian.
De hulpgids, dé gids voor de geestelijke gezondheidszorg (GGZ) - Dutch mental health site, covering meds, therapies and illnesses. They have information on support groups, doctors, clinics and drug companies. There's also a forum and chat.
NAMI Japan - Genki desu ka? I stumbled across this site when trying to find a list of psychiatric medications available in Japan. The site is mostly in Japanese. And, being Japanese, they have a page of mental-illness related comics.
Slovak Psychology Directory - Forum for a Slovakian site that covers meds, issues, and damned if I know what else because it's all in Slovakian! I can pick out depression, Asperger's Syndrome, Zoloft and Seroxat in recent discussions.

SANE Australia - mostly political site dealing with stigma and funding issues. Hey, you have to deal with the politics sometimes. Their international links page is a good source for global information that you're not finding here.
Peter Lehmann's Information about Psychiatric Drugs - List of key links to other sites about medications. From heavy-duty research (PubMed and a handy table of CYP450 interactions broken down by interaction type and odds of you're being a poor metabolizer) to huge summaries of anecdotal evidence. What's really handy for the international user (and researcher) is Peter's own table of generic and world-wide brand names. Peter has also written a book exclusively about the process of discontinuing psychiatric meds. Available in German and now in English. The information on his site is in English, Deutsch, Français and Italiano. His site has some of the better disclaimers I've seen. Mental Health Care "This site is for anyone looking for information about mental illness and the latest research from the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry. The site currently deals with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and is particularly suited to the carers, friends and family of anyone with a mental illness."
Open Directory for Mental Health - Literally thousands of web pages. Good luck.

Please, if you know of any sites with quality information for the mentally interesting send me an e-mail to jerod23 at gmail dot com and I'll check them out. Even if you're starting your own let me know. There's no guarantee I'll list it, but you never know. English language is obviously not a requirement. All I ask is that you don't have to register first to look at the site.
The Overlords of the 12 Zernox Galaxies have compelled me through messages in the Sunday Chronicle to beg you for spare change. So if this site has been of use and/or amusement to you, please see if you could
or visit the Donation Page if PayPal isn't your style. Or our Mental Mall to make a purchase. Better yet, if you run a business and want to advertise on Crazy Meds, see our page on ad rates and policies. I'm all about fiscal transparency, so follow the money for full disclosure of my pitiful finances.

Your mileage may vary. What happened to us won't necessarily happen to you. I am neither a doctor nor a pharmacist. I don't portray either here or on TV. Only a doctor can diagnose and treat an illness. Some doctors tend to get pissed off by patients who know too much about medications, so tread lightly when and where appropriate. Diagnosing yourself from a website is like defending yourself in court, you suddenly have a fool for a doctor. Don't be a cyberchondriac, thinking you have every disease you see a website about, or that you'll get every side effect from every medication. All information on this site has been obtained through personal experience, the experiences of my friends, the experiences of people reported on online support groups, and from sources that are referenced throughout the site. As such the information presented here is not a substitute for real medical advice from your real doctor, just a compliment to it. No psychiatrists or pharmacists were harmed in the production of this website. All brand names of the drugs listed in this site are the trademarks of the companies listed after them in the pages about the drugs, even though those companies may or may not have been acquired by other companies who may or may not be listed in this site by the time you read this. Always read the PI sheet that comes with your medications and never ever throw them away. If you didn't get a PI sheet, demand one. No information about visitors to this site is collected or saved. Although from time to time I do look at search terms used to find it in an effort to make the information I present more relevant. Use only as directed. Void where prohibited.
