Hi,
I am wondering if adding Activan for my seizures could help control them a bit better? I went to my doctor because of stress and insomnia so he gave me 1mg 2x a day to help me sleep and for anxiety. Does anyone out there have seizures and find that activan can help the seizures???

ATIVAN.

Yes, Ativan could help control your seizures because not only is it a mild anticonvulsant, but it is also anxiolytic and reducing your anxiety will reduce the likelihood of you having a seizure  Good sleep also leads to better seizure control.

If you are not getting full control of your seizures from the Tegretol you should let your neurologist know. Due to its short half life ativan is not a good med for day to day control of seizures.
