There is a groove down the center of my 1000 mg Keppra tablets, and I've been tempted to snap 'em in half and do 4x500 per day instead of 2x1000. Is there a problem with taking a broken Keppra pill?

If they are similar to the 500mg tablets, good luck with that. But no the splitting won't screw it up. Just make sure they are equal splits.
I split my lamictal pill by biting it in half. But lamictal tabs are a weaker texture (not sure if that's the correct word for the description but hopefully u know what I mean).
As jerod would say, "buy a pill splitter." But it better be a new one.

Yes, Keppra tablets are very... hard. Or maybe dense is the word. You need a new, sharp pill splitter, like she said.

I stepped down to 1000 mg/day yesterday, and had no problem snapping the 1000s in half. (500 at night, 500 in the morning)

It's really helped my side effects! I'm a lot less "duh" and I have a chin again!
