I want to start out by saying I have been on Latuda before.  Both times on it I was on 120 mgs and was not taking it with food.  So my pdoc took me off of it and but me on Zyprexa Zydis because of less weight gain if any at all and because I was still having paranoia.

My question is if Zyprexa is helping just a little with my paranoia, but not a lot would it be wise to go back on Latuda where I can take less Zyprexa as a prn for paranoia and extreme anxiety.

If Latuda was mostly controlling your paranoia and anxiety then taking it as a routine med and adding Zyprexa as PRN for breakthrough symptoms sounds like a sound plan to me.

I'm a little unclear though...were you gaining weight on Latuda or not taking it with food was a problem? My pdoc said if I went on it (I refused to take it with food) that he could just double the dose and I would be getting the proper amount as absorption was decreased by approximately 50% without food. Or, did you mean the Zyprexa Zydis would be less weight gaining than regular Zyprexa?

I am back on Latuda with Zyprexa as a prn.  I didn't gain weight on Latuda or Zyprexa.  I was not taking my Latuda with food, so my pdoc took me off of it.  Now that I promised I would take it with food, I am back on it.  I have only been on it for 3 days, so time will tell what food does with it.
