Anyone else on this cocktail? I feel WEIRD. Like I'm tired and hyper all at the same time. I woke up at 7:00 AM. On a holiday. I read a few posts about the Wellbutrin-Cymbalta combo and I just have one question -- what are brain zaps???

Any personal experiences would be helpful.

Did you start with the Wellbutrin first and then augment w/the Cymbalta?

Yes, I've been on the Wellbutrin for quite some time. Just started the Cymbalta on Tuesday...tried Abilify but I had a horrible reaction so my doctor switched me to oxcarbazepin.

Well, the oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) can be sedating even at low doses. What symptoms was your PDoc trying to treat by adding the Cymbalta? Usually there's some kind of game plan with psych meds, but I'm not sure if I follow it here (that could be my fault).

The wellbutrin has been giving me anxiety but I've been VERY depressed and my activity level has been exceptionally low.

what are brain zaps???

Hard to describe, but you know it when you feel it. Usually they are associated with discontinuing a med though.
