I have been taking Nuvigil for about a week and a half. I was falling asleep at my desk before. I have sleep apnea and I use my CPAP.....I just think there is something else wrong, and I have an appt with a sleep disorder doc in June.

Nuvigil didn't help the first few days. Then it kinda kicked in. Along with diarrhea and a horrible bloating feeling in my stomach even if I have something as small as half a sandwich. A small sandwich....bread and a little shaved ham.

Anyone else have this side effect??

And yesterday I went home all wired up!! I had to lay down (not sleep) and just do some deep breathing to get back down to earth. Also my stomach felt so bloated I wanted to stretch out......

Me again. I guess no one is having problems with Nuvigil. I take it RARELY and have cut down to 75 mg when I need it instead of 125 mg.

I have realized now that it makes my face itchy! Just my face. My entire face. Forehead, cheeks, chin, eyelids, lips. But not my nose! Just thought this was interesting. Hope someone finds this helpful to them.

I was supposonly bipolar for the last 5 years, spent 6000 dollars on meds to fit me. Well this year. I was on abilify, lamactal, started nuvigi. Tried suside 3 times. Well after last treatment center. Found out in 1995 they took out part of small intestine were b- 12 absorbs. Well now i only have adhd, some ptsd from childhood. But i take b-12 shots once a week, and 250 mg nuvigul, and little straterra and back to real life. What do i do. Is there laywers that study this. On the bipolar meds i was always manic. This new dr said you were not manic but i was high. I had no b-12 in me so when i seen that dr he would just up the dose & i would get worse. Is there any body that has been miss diagnosed. And i found out a phyk dr can not diagnose you while you are on pain meds, but when i was diagnosed i just had back surgery& was on oxycotin, any suggestions would help. But for all those who need energy and dr thinks nuvigil will help. Get b-12 checked, because nuvigil works now my b-12 is at normal level. [removed identifying info]

bwellborn,

I'm glad you've solved the B12 deficiency. We can't help you with legal advice, though. Try contacting your state and county bar associations for an attorney recommendation.
