Hello,
I looked on the Lamictal website to find information on alcohol, but I couldn't find anything saying not to drink alcohol.

Got scared b/c I just found out you aren't supposed to drink while taking Seroquel, which I have done. Drank first, then took it, so ?

Anyway, just want to make sure about Lamictal since I recently discontinued Seroquel.

I only drink 1-2 glasses of wine, once, maybe twice a month.

Thank you,
Brooke

I'll have a drink on special occasions (birthday, anniversary). I don't think I'd drink at all if I were taking Lamictal for depression, though. Alcohol can be detrimental as far as sleep goes, too.

When I was just on Lamictal, my pdoc said I could have the occasional, single, size-controlled (4-5 ounces wine, one 12-oz. beer) drink.

However, for me... one drink occasionally turns to one drink nightly turns to two drinks nightly, etc. Not an outlandish amount, but not a good idea on meds, either. And then I wondered why I was so depressed. DOH!
