Pdoc gave it to me to offset the anxiety for the first two weeks back on welbutrin (been on it before and it was really bad at first.) I'm taking a relatively small dose at one half of a 1mg pill for work during the day and a whole one at night. And I'm doing really well this way. Don't take it during the day if I'm off work. I think I could get by without it at nite once I'm past the initial wellbutrin side effects of the first few weeks.

I understand this stuff is supposed to be addictive and not used long term. Which stinks because I'm doing the best ever dealing with work. What are some long term Meds that might help in the same way? I'd like to do some research before going back to the doc.

I added Lexapro to wellbutrin to help with daily anxiety/depression. Though for some people Lexapro increases their anxiety. I added lex very very slowly and it worked wonders for me.

I have found that the anxiety from wellbutrin only gets real bad (for me) when my dose is 300mg or more. So Im on 150 for now and Im doing fairly well. Considering my issues are in the anxiety spectrum thats not bad.
It doesnt make a huge dent in the depression, but the side effects are reasonable so far.
My major complaint is that no matter what generic I take I get wired in the morning and by 3pm I want to go to sleep. Im not sure whats going on, may ask my doc for advice. So far teva has been the worst offender. The heartburn from that version was also the worst.

I'd like to go up to 300mg wellbutrin xl but thats what I'm afraid of...the increase in anxiety. At 150mg daily even with 20mg Celexa, its not helping too much with depression. I'm thinking of asking about changing the Celexa to Lexapro.

I did not get anxiety with Wellbutrin. It is not a given that people will get this side effect.

Do you mind my asking if you take the Propranolol daily? My drs have suggested I take it daily as I have essential tremor but because I take lorazepam daily I'm a little concerned about taking both daily. It does help when I take it.

Sure, no problem. Abilify gives me a very fine tremor. I do not see a reason taking both should be a problem, I do. Propranolol may increase levels of Ativan
so an adjustment down of the Ativan may be needed. I did not find I needed to change anything but I take a small dose of propranolol. Propranolol is not sedating at the doses I take it at. Propranolol also has the benefit of slowing my heart rate, I have a fast heart rate (~107 bpm) do to the Wellbutrin (I suspect). I also have hypertension so the small dose of propranolol is figured into the 2 other meds I take for that. In truth I do not think it lowers my blood pressure much.

Yes, 20 mgs, unless I have to do something significant with my hands, like work with hand tools. Exertion makes the tremor worse so I take another 20 mgs as needed. I have no side effects.
